Library Field Trips
7th Grade Library Skills:
Calhoun Academy's 7th grade students come to learn how to find books in the library, how to use DISCUS (educational resource program) and other library resources including Libby, Playaways, and Kajeet hotspots. It’s also an opportunity to learn about opportunities offered by the library like being a part of our Teen Advisory Board, being a teen volunteer, or applying to be a teen intern!
4th Grade Bee Field Trips: All 4th graders in the county are invited to participate in our Bee Field Trips during the spring! Our library houses a live honeybee hive that we use to educate students about the importance of honeybees in our ecosystem. Classes rotate through several stations getting familiar with the beehive and visiting our pollinator garden
