
Youth Programs

Teen Night
The Calhoun County Library hosts a program for teens twice a month! Teens ages 12-17 can stop by the library for a specialized night of fun and games (board games, bingo, movies, crafts, etc.)! Teen night is held every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month starting in October until May from 5pm - 7pm.
Storytime
Weekly, the Calhoun County Library staff visit various schools for a time of singing, crafting, and read-alongs! There are 9 story times a month for K3, K4, K5, and special needs kindergarten classes. For more information contact Beth at 803.655.6305


STEM
The Calhoun County Library partners with 4-H representative Laura Hair and Dr. Lesa Rice-Jackson (retired chemist) to visit various after-school centers in the county to give patrons a chance to have fun while learning science! For more information contact Beth Rast at 803.655.6305.
Music and Movement
The library has a program for children, ages 0-5 called Music and Movement! This is a FREE program that offers children time for song and dance led by Celeste Smith, that encourages kids to get up and dance! Classes are held every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 11:00am-11:30am in the program room.


Mother Goose
Mother Goose on the Loose is a weekly program for children that are newborn to 3yrs years old. This is a FREE program led by Ms. Mary Jo Springs, that lets children participate in a sing-along storytime! The program is every Wednesday from 10:30am-11:00am in the library program room.
